Please e-mail Peter if you can help out with Spares ...
Or advice !!

I have the task of restoring a water cooled Scott motorcycle, a 1929 model, I believe, owned by my 95 yr. old father, which is in approximately 50 pieces, so I have a huge job ahead of me. I would very much like to acquire a workshop manual and also details of where I may be able to acquire parts !

It is a 1929 500cc 3speed flying squirrell and has been in the family for about 70 years. It is basically complete except for cables, leather seat and a few nuts and bolts. It was last registered in 1950 but damage to the block caused a shut down. My dear father, now 95, just didn't get around to fixing it.

This is a copy of an e-mail from Peter Shacklock from Australia.
e-mail Peter at pshack@cinet.com.au if you can help in any way

1930 Scott motorcycle
This is Al's own 1930 2spd sports squirrel

A Happy ending !!
Well done Al Perry, hope this will encourage others to get their restoration finished.

This Scott was just given to me last week, the previous owner has had it apart in his barn for 50 years! it is a 1929 flying squirrel tourer, the only Major part missings are the neckstem/ links/ spindals/ spring for the webb forks, ideally I will be able to find a wrecked ,bent up ,fork to rob the neck parts from( know of any??)
the stipulation of this gift is that I restore the bike, so the elderly previous owner can have a ride!
This e-mail came from
Al Perry in New York. He does have other Scott's including the 1930 one shown above, this is his main road bike!!
The owner of the parts saw this bike and gave Al the bits shown on the condition that he restored the wreck to the same condition and gave him another ride on it.
The previous owner has had it apart in his barn for 50 years!
The restored photo shows Harry sitting on his
newly restored 1929 Scott Squirrell.

You can e-mail Al at AWPDF@aol.com

3 Now Here is a Challenge for you !!
I have an e-mail with this request for help, can anyone give assistance with this ?

I
am searching the life of Laszlo Almasy (he was the model for the character played by Ralph Fiennes in the movie "The English patient"
I found some interesting details of his life connected to Scott motorcycles. He participated some motorcycle races in the early 20-s in Hungary, what is more, he became Hungarian dealer of these motorcycles. Unfortunately this is basically all the information I got, but I am anxious to find out more.

Any information you can give to me will be passed on, E-MAIL please get the thinking caps on ! somebody out there must know of this ?
