Wheels off the ground !, this was taken during the 1952 Race in the Isle of
Man.
I think this was the best era for road racing, you could identify with the riders and recognise them....and their bikes....
Bob was one of my boyhood hero's ....... another was ..

I
was also fortunate enough to meet Les Graham. He stayed with us for 1 night
when he came to talk about Road Racing at our local motorcycle club 'Lanarkshire
M.C.C'. He made a great impression on me as he was such a 
genuine
person, and such a good road racer !! Here is a signed photo he gave me....it is of a Works A.J.S. 500 cc 'Porcupine' which is the type of bike he was racing
on at that time.
The one below, he is on a 500cc. 4 cyl. 'MV Augusta'

Les Graham was the 500cc. World champion in 1949.
